Key Responsibilities
- Perform various tasks related to preparing and packaging meat products, including cutting, trimming, portioning, and deboning according to specifications.
- Operate and maintain food processing machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations (HACCP) and company policies.
- Inspect meat for quality, freshness, and adherence to established standards, reporting any discrepancies.
- Label and package products accurately, ensuring proper storage and inventory management.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, tools, and equipment regularly to maintain a sterile environment.
- Assist with loading and unloading of raw materials and finished products.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a meat packer, butcher, or in a similar food production role.
- Strong understanding and adherence to food safety and hygiene protocols (HACCP).
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy items (up to 25 kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Basic German language skills (A2 level minimum) for understanding instructions and safety guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant vocational training or certification in butchery or meat processing.
- Experience with various types of meat (beef, pork, poultry).
- Familiarity with operating specialized meat processing equipment.
- Forklift license or experience operating pallet jacks.
