Key Responsibilities

  • Perform various tasks along the meat processing line, including cutting, trimming, deboning, grinding, and portioning of meat products.
  • Operate and maintain specialized machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Adhere strictly to all food safety regulations, including HACCP, GMP, and company-specific protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized work area, ensuring hygiene standards are consistently met.
  • Monitor product quality and identify any non-conforming items, reporting issues to supervisors promptly.
  • Package finished meat products according to specifications, ensuring proper labeling and sealing.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of materials and products as required.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge of processing techniques and safety protocols.

Required Skills

  • Previous experience in a factory, production, or manufacturing environment (meat processing preferred but not mandatory).
  • Ability to work efficiently and safely in a cold, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift, push, and pull moderate to heavy weights.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene principles.
  • Dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precision tasks.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with knives and other cutting tools in a professional setting.

  • Fluency in French and/or English.
