Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior mechanics with routine maintenance, diagnostic checks, and repair of vehicles and heavy machinery.
- Perform basic tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
- Clean and organize the workshop area, tools, and equipment to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Retrieve parts and supplies as directed by mechanics, ensuring all necessary components are available for repairs.
- Learn and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Shadow and observe experienced mechanics, actively asking questions and learning new techniques.
- Help with vehicle inspections, identifying potential issues and reporting them to the lead mechanic.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and parts used, as required.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
- Support logistics operations by moving vehicles or equipment within the workshop yard when instructed and qualified.
