Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a diverse range of vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical and electrical faults accurately.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance services in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
- Execute repairs and replacements of defective parts with precision and efficiency.
- Document all services performed, parts used, and hours worked accurately in the workshop management system.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding repair progress, additional necessary work, and potential issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies, repair techniques, and industry trends through continuous professional development.
- Assist in training junior technicians and apprentices when required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Mechanic or Automotive Technician (minimum 4 years).
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including petrol and diesel engines, manual and automatic transmissions, braking systems, and electrical circuits.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools (e.g., scanners, oscilloscopes).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
