Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Drafter to join our growing team in Masvingo, Masvingo Province. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for translating engineering designs and concepts into detailed technical drawings, plans, and blueprints using computer-aided design (CAD) software. You will play a vital part in our project lifecycle, working closely with engineers and project managers to ensure accuracy, compliance with industry standards, and adherence to project specifications. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed mechanical drawings, blueprints, and schematics using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor).
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand design requirements and translate them into accurate technical drawings.
- Ensure all designs and drawings comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and project specifications.
- Review and revise designs and drawings based on feedback from engineers, clients, or site conditions.
- Create 3D models and assemblies from 2D sketches or existing designs.
- Develop bill of materials (BOMs) and other associated documentation for manufacturing and procurement.
- Maintain organized records of drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical input when required.
- Stay updated with the latest drafting software, techniques, and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and drafting standards.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical manuals.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

- Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, welding, fabrication).
