We are seeking a dedicated professional to join their dynamic engineering team, focusing on the maintenance, repair, and optimization of complex industrial machinery and systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a wide range of mechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Diagnose mechanical faults, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Lead and participate in root cause analysis (RCA) investigations for equipment failures, developing and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production, electrical, and control engineering teams to optimize plant performance and reliability.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and liaise with suppliers to ensure critical components are readily available.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and operational best practices.
  • Oversee and mentor junior technicians and apprentices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and safety.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with industry standards, health and safety regulations, and environmental policies.
  • Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for planning, tracking, and reporting maintenance activities.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for emergency breakdown support as required.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a heavy industrial, manufacturing, or process plant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, rotating equipment, and power transmission.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical faults efficiently.
  • Proficiency with CMMS software for maintenance scheduling and reporting.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Commitment to health, safety, and environmental best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography).
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Familiarity with CAD software for reviewing engineering drawings.
  • Experience working with PLCs and control systems (basic understanding).
