Job Description
This role demands a highly skilled and proactive Mechanical Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and optimal performance of our plant machinery and systems within our Trafford Park facility. You will be instrumental in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a diverse range of mechanical equipment, from industrial pumps and motors to complex conveyor systems and HVAC units. Your expertise will directly contribute to minimizing downtime, enhancing operational efficiency, and upholding the highest safety standards. This isn’t just a maintenance role; it’s an opportunity to apply advanced engineering principles to real-world challenges, implementing preventative maintenance strategies, conducting root cause analyses for equipment failures, and proposing innovative solutions for long-term reliability improvements.
The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, electrical engineering, and safety departments, to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices. You will be responsible for developing and reviewing maintenance procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant industry standards and internal policies. A keen eye for detail, strong analytical capabilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement are paramount. We are looking for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can adapt quickly to evolving operational needs, and is passionate about ensuring the longevity and efficiency of critical plant assets. Your ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely will be essential when collaborating with colleagues and presenting findings.
The scope of this role extends beyond reactive maintenance. You will play a pivotal part in strategic planning, contributing insights for capital expenditure projects related to equipment upgrades and replacements. Your analytical skills will be crucial in interpreting performance data, identifying trends, and forecasting future maintenance needs to ensure continuous operational uptime. Furthermore, we value a proactive approach to safety; you will be expected to conduct risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and implement robust safety measures in all operational activities. This role provides a unique platform to not only manage existing assets but also to influence the adoption of new technologies and methodologies that will enhance our plant’s efficiency and competitive edge. If you are a solutions-driven engineer with a passion for excellence and a desire to make a tangible impact, Career.zycto offers the environment for your skills to truly shine.
