Key Responsibilities
- Greet and escort patients to examination rooms, ensuring a welcoming and clean environment.
- Obtain and accurately record vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.
- Assist physicians and other healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures.
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and specimen collection (e.g., phlebotomy, urinalysis) as directed and within scope of practice.
- Administer medications via various routes (e.g., injections, oral) as ordered by a physician and under direct supervision, after appropriate training.
- Manage patient scheduling, answer phone calls, and respond to patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Educate patients on pre- and post-procedure instructions, medication usage, and general health information.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure examination rooms are well-stocked.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to optimize patient flow and care delivery.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software systems quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in a healthcare setting (volunteer or paid).
