A significant part of your day will involve direct communication with patients, addressing their billing inquiries with empathy and clarity, and ensuring they understand their financial obligations. You will also verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits, ensuring all necessary information is captured correctly to prevent future billing issues.

Maintaining precise and up-to-date billing records is paramount, requiring exceptional attention to detail and proficiency with medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. You will play a key role in ensuring strict compliance with all local, provincial, and federal billing regulations, including HIPAA and BC Medical Services Plan (MSP) guidelines, safeguarding patient data and ensuring ethical billing practices. Furthermore, you will be tasked with processing patient payments, generating detailed statements, and collaborating closely with clinical staff to gather any additional documentation required for claim submission. Your ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English, both written and verbally, is essential for effective interaction with patients, insurance companies, and our healthcare provider partners.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled Medical Biller who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to contributing to the smooth operation of healthcare services. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is proactive in problem-solving, and is eager to grow within the administrative healthcare field.
