Key Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies accurately and promptly.
- Follow up on unpaid claims, resolve denials, and manage appeals efficiently to minimize revenue loss.
- Review and verify patient demographic and insurance information for accuracy prior to billing.
- Maintain strict compliance with all relevant billing regulations, including HIPAA, CPT, ICD-10, and payer-specific guidelines.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing inquiries and outstanding balances.
