As a Medical Receptionist, you will be instrumental in managing the flow of our clinic, ensuring that all administrative tasks are handled with precision and professionalism. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in patients warmly upon arrival, verifying demographic and insurance information.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing provider schedules effectively to optimize clinic flow.
- Answer multi-line phone systems, direct calls, and take detailed messages promptly and professionally.
- Process patient payments, co-pays, and deductible amounts, and provide receipts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines and confidentiality.
- Prepare charts for upcoming appointments and scan relevant documents into the EMR system.
- Assist patients with completing necessary forms and provide clear instructions regarding clinic policies.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient transitions and effective communication.
- Manage incoming and outgoing faxes, emails, and mail related to patient care and clinic operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
- Handle patient inquiries and complaints with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues as necessary.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in a medical office or customer service role.
- Proficiency in administrative duties and office procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
