Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a warm, professional, and friendly manner.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing the appointment book efficiently.
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate personnel.
  • Register new patients and update existing patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Prepare patient charts, manage medical records, and ensure their accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Process patient payments, issue receipts, and assist with basic billing inquiries.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized reception area and waiting room.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and faxes.
  • Provide general administrative support to medical staff as needed.
  • Adhere to all healthcare regulations and patient privacy policies (e.g., HIPAA principles).
  • Assist patients with necessary forms and ensure they are completed correctly.
