Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately document patient medical history, physical exams, diagnostic tests, treatment plans, and other clinical information in the electronic health record (EHR) in real-time during patient encounters.
  • Accompany physicians during patient examinations to facilitate accurate and immediate documentation.
  • Prepare and organise medical charts, ensuring all relevant information is readily available for the healthcare provider.
  • Understand and apply appropriate medical terminology, abbreviations, and charting standards.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed, such as retrieving lab results, imaging studies, and other relevant patient data.
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to all data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and ensure accuracy.
  • Proofread and edit all documentation for accuracy, completeness, and grammatical correctness before sign-off by the provider.
  • Learn and adapt to various medical specialities and clinical documentation requirements.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient typing speed (minimum 60 WPM) and accuracy.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to listen actively and synthesise information quickly.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and ability to learn new software rapidly.
  • A strong interest in healthcare and medical terminology.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
