Job Description

As an Entry Level Medication Administration Lead at Career.zycto, you will embark on a rewarding journey at the heart of our patient care operations in York. You will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to develop a deep understanding of pharmaceutical protocols, regulatory compliance, and best practices in medication administration. Working closely with senior staff and multidisciplinary teams, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that residents receive their prescribed medications accurately and on schedule, contributing directly to their health and well-being. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the accurate preparation, administration, and recording of medication in accordance with prescribed guidelines and company policies.
  • Learn and adhere to all relevant medication policies, procedures, and CQC regulations (or local equivalent).
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medication records, ensuring all documentation is completed promptly and correctly.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, residents, and their families regarding medication-related matters under supervision.
  • Monitor residents for potential side effects or adverse reactions to medication and report observations to senior staff.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills in medication administration and management.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized medication storage area.
  • Support the ordering, receiving, and secure storage of medication supplies.
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure holistic resident care, identifying and addressing medication-related concerns.
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.
