Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled fabricators and welders with various tasks, including material preparation, cutting, grinding, and finishing metal components.
- Operate and maintain a range of workshop tools and machinery under supervision, ensuring safe and efficient use.
- Handle and move raw materials, finished products, and equipment safely using appropriate lifting techniques or machinery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform quality checks on fabricated parts to ensure they meet specifications and standards, reporting any discrepancies.
- Support the assembly and installation of fabricated structures as required.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and dispatching materials and keeping accurate records.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of metalworking processes and tools.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
