Key Responsibilities
- Develop and disseminate accurate short-range and long-range weather forecasts using state-of-the-art numerical weather prediction models and observational data.
- Monitor real-time atmospheric conditions, identify severe weather threats, and issue timely warnings and advisories.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of meteorological data, satellite imagery, radar, and other remote sensing products.
- Perform climate studies and interpret historical weather data to identify trends and potential future impacts.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to provide meteorological support for specific projects or operational needs.
- Prepare and present detailed meteorological briefings and reports for diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical personnel.
- Participate in research and development initiatives to improve forecasting techniques and models.
- Maintain and calibrate meteorological equipment and ensure data quality control.
- Stay abreast of advancements in atmospheric science, technology, and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Expertise in synoptic and mesoscale meteorology
- Proficiency with meteorological software and data visualization tools (e.g., GIS, Python, R)
