Job Description

This role is a cornerstone of our mission, directly supporting our microfinance initiatives to empower individuals and small businesses within the Kirkland, Montreal community. Key Responsibilities

  • Process microloan applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive client records and loan portfolios, updating information regularly and accurately in the database.
  • Provide exceptional client support, answering inquiries, resolving issues, and guiding clients through the application and repayment processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports related to loan performance, client demographics, and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct basic financial assessments and due diligence for potential borrowers, under the supervision of senior officers.
  • Facilitate workshops and information sessions for clients on financial literacy and microfinance product utilization.
  • Collaborate with field officers and other team members to enhance service delivery and client outreach.
  • Ensure adherence to all anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) regulations.
  • Participate in community engagement activities to promote Career.zycto's microfinance services.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in French and English (written and spoken) is essential for communication with our diverse client base in Montreal.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-centric approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Basic understanding of financial concepts and banking operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A diploma or degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Previous experience (1-2 years) in microfinance, banking, credit analysis, or a similar financial support role.
  • Familiarity with financial software or CRM systems.

  • Knowledge of local socio-economic conditions in Montreal.
