Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Midwife to join our esteemed team in Haidhausen, Munich. As a Midwife, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive care and support to women throughout their pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive antenatal care, including regular check-ups, health education, and emotional support to expectant mothers.
  • Monitor and assess the health and well-being of expectant mothers and their babies throughout pregnancy, identifying potential risks.
  • Attend and manage labor and childbirth, ensuring a safe and positive birthing experience for both mother and infant.
  • Administer medication and perform necessary medical procedures as required during labor and delivery, adhering to protocols.
  • Provide immediate postnatal care for mothers and newborns, including crucial breastfeeding support and thorough newborn assessments.
  • Offer comprehensive guidance on infant feeding, maternal recovery, and newborn care in the weeks following birth.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential patient records in accordance with professional standards and data protection regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Educate and empower women and their families to make informed decisions about their care, promoting health literacy.

Required Skills

  • State-registered Midwife qualification (e.g., German Hebamme license) valid for practice in Germany.
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in a clinical midwifery setting.
  • Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues.
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills in obstetric and neonatal care.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Sound knowledge of current midwifery practices, evidence-based guidelines, and relevant legislation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced certifications in areas such as lactation consulting, fetal monitoring, or emergency obstetric care.
  • Experience with diverse patient populations and demonstrated cultural sensitivity.
  • Familiarity with digital patient management systems and modern healthcare technology.
