Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled operators and tradespersons with their daily tasks within underground environments.
- Perform various manual labour duties, including shovelling, lifting, carrying, and clearing debris.
- Safely load and unload materials, equipment, and supplies into and out of underground work areas.
- Maintain clean, organised, and safe work areas, adhering strictly to all site regulations and procedures.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision, ensuring their proper use and maintenance.
- Actively participate in pre-shift safety briefings and adhere to all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Inspect work areas for potential hazards and report any safety concerns immediately to supervisors.
- Support ground control activities and contribute to the overall efficiency of tunnelling or excavation operations.
- Follow instructions diligently and work collaboratively with team members to achieve project goals.
