Key Responsibilities
- Perform general clean-up duties around the mining site, including sweeping, shoveling, and waste disposal.
- Assist skilled tradespersons (e.g., mechanics, electricians) with various tasks, including carrying tools, fetching parts, and preparing work areas.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Operate light equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, or man lifts, if certified and required.
- Load and unload materials, supplies, and equipment manually or using appropriate machinery.
- Inspect work areas for potential hazards and report any safety concerns immediately.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions as required.
- Perform routine checks and minor maintenance on assigned equipment.
