Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain client mortgage application files, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Liaise directly with clients to gather necessary information, provide updates, and address queries regarding their mortgage applications.
- Act as a primary point of contact for lenders, conveyancers, and other third parties to progress mortgage applications efficiently.
- Support senior mortgage advisors by preparing suitability letters, compliance checklists, and other essential paperwork.
- Monitor the progress of mortgage applications from submission to completion, proactively identifying and resolving any potential delays or issues.
- Ensure all client records and interactions are accurately logged and updated within the CRM system.
- Stay abreast of changes in mortgage regulations, products, and industry best practices to maintain compliance and offer informed support.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in a mortgage administration, client support, or advisor support role.
- Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Solid understanding of the mortgage application process and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- CeMAP qualification (or working towards it).
- Experience with a specific mortgage CRM platform (e.g., IRESS, Twenty7Tec).
- Familiarity with the local Paisley/Glasgow property market.
