Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mortgage Advisor with a strong focus on client support and documentation to join our thriving team in Nottingham. This pivotal role involves guiding clients through the entire mortgage application process, ensuring a seamless and positive experience from initial inquiry to completion. You will be responsible for providing expert advice on a wide range of mortgage products, meticulously preparing and submitting applications, and managing all associated documentation with precision and compliance.
As a Mortgage Advisor focusing on Client Support & Documentation, you will be the primary point of contact for clients, building rapport and trust while clearly explaining complex financial information. Your ability to understand client needs, identify suitable products, and handle sensitive data will be crucial. This role requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses exceptional organisational skills, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and customer service. You will work closely with lenders, solicitors, and other internal teams to ensure all stages of the mortgage journey are managed efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive fact-finding interviews with clients to understand their financial circumstances, needs, and preferences.
- Provide expert, impartial advice on a diverse range of mortgage products, including residential, buy-to-let, remortgages, and product transfers.
- Prepare, submit, and diligently track mortgage applications, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Liaise effectively with lenders, solicitors, and insurance providers to progress applications and resolve any queries or issues promptly.
- Maintain meticulous records and client files, utilising CRM systems to manage client interactions and application statuses.
- Ensure full adherence to FCA regulations, company policies, and compliance procedures at all times.
- Provide ongoing support and communication to clients throughout the mortgage process, managing expectations and delivering exceptional service.
- Proactively identify and address potential issues or delays, working to mitigate risks and ensure smooth transactions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance overall client experience and streamline operational processes.
- Stay updated with market trends, regulatory changes, and new mortgage products to provide the most relevant advice.
Required Skills
- CeMAP qualification (or equivalent recognised mortgage qualification).
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Mortgage Advisor.
- Proven track record in client support and documentation management within a financial services environment.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Thorough understanding of FCA regulations and mortgage lending criteria.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced CeMAP modules (e.g., CeMAP Diploma).
- Experience with specific mortgage sourcing systems (e.g., Twenty7Tec, Mortgage Brain).
- Demonstrable experience working in a hybrid or remote mortgage advisory capacity.
- Background in financial services compliance or quality assurance.
