Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated Mortgage Advisor to join our growing team in Cookridge, Leeds, focusing on client support and meticulous documentation. You will serve as a primary point of contact, providing clear, concise, and professional guidance from initial inquiry through to completion.

Your day-to-day will involve working closely with clients to gather all necessary financial documentation, explain various mortgage products, and ensure all application forms are completed accurately and submitted efficiently. Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing ongoing support and clear communication throughout the mortgage application journey.
  • Gather, review, and organise all necessary client documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assist clients in completing mortgage application forms, clarifying any ambiguities and ensuring all required fields are correctly filled.
  • Liaise with lenders, solicitors, and other third parties to expedite application processing and resolve any queries or issues.
  • Maintain meticulous records of client interactions, application progress, and documentation within the company's CRM system.
  • Provide administrative support to senior Mortgage Advisors, including diary management and report generation.
  • Keep clients informed of application status updates, managing expectations and proactively addressing potential delays.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations (e.g., FCA, GDPR) and internal company policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of client suitability reports and other advisory documentation as required.
  • Continuously update knowledge of mortgage products, market trends, and regulatory changes.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Mortgage Administrator, Paraplanner, or Junior Mortgage Advisor.
  • Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Solid understanding of the UK mortgage market and application processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to client confidentiality.
  • Demonstrable problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CeMAP qualification (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with specialist mortgage software platforms.
  • Knowledge of compliance procedures within the financial services sector.
  • A degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
