Key Responsibilities
- Assist embalmers and funeral directors with the preparation of deceased individuals, including dressing, casketing, and transferring.
- Maintain the cleanliness, sterilization, and organization of the mortuary, equipment, and preparation rooms to the highest standards.
- Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of remains and personal effects with utmost respect and adherence to protocols.
- Assist in receiving and releasing deceased individuals, verifying identities and documentation accurately.
- Operate and maintain specialized mortuary equipment safely and effectively.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
- Provide support during funeral services or visitations as needed, including setting up and dismantling service areas.
- Document procedures and activities accurately and maintain confidential records.
