Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in and complete all assigned training modules and on-the-job mentorship sessions.
- Learn and adhere strictly to all road safety regulations, company policies, and best practices for motorbike operation.
- Practice efficient route planning and navigation using GPS and local knowledge to ensure timely deliveries.
- Properly handle, scan, load, and secure packages for safe transportation.
- Develop excellent customer service skills by interacting professionally and courteously with clients at delivery points.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of motorbikes, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain clear and concise communication with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status or unforeseen delays.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of delivery equipment and vehicles.
- Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic at all times.
- Process payments and complete delivery documentation accurately.
Required Skills
- Possession of a valid Class 6 (Motorcycle) Learner's Permit or License for British Columbia, or the ability to obtain one prior to starting.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to traffic laws and company guidelines.
- Basic navigation skills and a willingness to learn Vancouver's geography and street layout.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Physical ability to lift and carry packages (up to 50 lbs) and comfortably handle a motorbike for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude, proactive approach, and eagerness to learn new skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- Previous experience operating a scooter or motorcycle (personal use is acceptable and beneficial).
- Familiarity with the Fairview, Vancouver area and surrounding neighbourhoods.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for simple vehicle checks and troubleshooting.
- Prior customer service experience in any field.
