Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and inspections of Bajaj motorcycles according to manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults accurately using diagnostic tools and technical expertise.
- Execute complex repairs including engine overhauls, transmission work, suspension repairs, and brake system overhauls.
- Conduct precise electrical system troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of components.
- Replace worn or faulty parts, ensuring proper installation, adjustment, and functionality.
- Conduct thorough test rides and quality checks post-repair to ensure safety, performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all repairs and maintenance performed.
- Communicate effectively and transparently with customers regarding repair needs, progress, and estimated costs.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and workshop best practices.
- Keep the workshop area clean, organized, and well-maintained to promote efficiency and safety.
- Stay updated with new motorcycle models, technologies, and repair techniques through continuous learning.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Motorcycle Mechanic, preferably with Bajaj or similar reputable brands.
- Strong foundational and advanced knowledge of motorcycle engines, transmissions, braking systems, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using various diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and specialized workshop tools.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to repairs.
- High attention to detail and unwavering commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as a collaborative member of a team.
- Valid motorcycle driving license and a clean driving record.
- Physical dexterity, strength, and stamina to perform demanding mechanical tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical diploma or certification in Motorcycle Mechanics, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience with modern fuel injection systems and advanced motorcycle diagnostics.
- Prior customer service experience in a workshop or dealership environment.
- Fluency in Kinyarwanda and a working knowledge of English for technical communication.
