Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the careful packing, loading, and unloading of furniture and personal belongings onto moving trucks.
  • Safely transport items using proper lifting techniques, dollies, hand trucks, and other specialized moving equipment.
  • Disassemble and reassemble furniture items as required, ensuring all components are accounted for.
  • Protect clients' property and possessions by wrapping, padding, and securing items during transit to prevent damage.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with team members, clients, and supervisors throughout the moving process.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, both on client premises and within the moving vehicle.
  • Strictly follow all company safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
  • Actively participate in training, learn new skills, and adapt to various moving scenarios and challenges.

Required Skills

  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and contribute.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Attention to detail to ensure items are handled with care and accounted for.
  • No prior experience in moving required; a strong willingness to learn is paramount.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent secondary education.
  • Valid G Class driver's license with a clean driving record (an asset, not mandatory for trainee).
  • Previous experience in manual labor, warehousing, or other physically demanding jobs.
