Job Description

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Full-Time MRI Technologist, where you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients in the vibrant Fountain Square area of Indianapolis. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate professional to operate advanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment, ensuring exceptional patient care and precise image acquisition. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing patients for examinations, explaining procedures clearly, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images as prescribed by physicians.
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures, including explaining the process, screening for contraindications, and ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Accurately position patients for various MRI examinations, adjusting imaging parameters as needed to optimize image quality.
  • Monitor patients during scans, recognizing and responding to any adverse reactions or emergencies.
  • Maintain precise and detailed patient records, including consent forms, screening questionnaires, and imaging data.
  • Perform daily quality control checks on MRI equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols, including magnet safety, radiation safety (if applicable in hybrid roles), and infection control.
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Skills

  • Current ARRT (MR) certification required.
  • Active Indiana State Radiologic Technologist license.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Proficiency in operating various MRI scanner models and imaging software.
  • Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work precisely in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • Advanced certification in MRI (e.g., ARRT (MR) advanced level).
  • Experience with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems) and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a certified MRI Technologist in a clinical setting.
