Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of various multimedia projects, including video shoots, photography sessions, and audio recordings.
  • Operate and maintain a range of professional audio-visual equipment, including cameras, lighting kits, microphones, and editing workstations.
  • Support content creators with pre-production tasks such as script breakdown, location scouting on Quirimba Island, and prop management.
  • Perform basic video editing, color correction, sound mixing, and graphic design tasks using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Organize and manage digital assets, ensuring proper filing, tagging, and archiving of photos, videos, and audio files.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions for new content ideas, bringing fresh perspectives and creative solutions.
  • Ensure all produced content adheres to brand guidelines and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform routine maintenance to ensure operational readiness.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and local community stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
  • Assist with the deployment and management of digital content on various platforms, including websites and social media channels.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of multimedia trends and best practices.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design principles and software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Experience with professional DSLR/mirrorless cameras and video recording equipment.
  • Understanding of audio recording techniques and sound editing.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field.
  • Previous experience (internship or entry-level) in a multimedia production role.
  • Knowledge of local Mozambican culture and languages (e.g., Portuguese, Kimwani).
  • Experience with drone operation for aerial videography/photography.
  • Portfolio demonstrating creative multimedia projects.
