Job Description

Are you a maestro of melody, a conductor of creativity, ready to inspire the next generation of musicians in Kingston upon Hull? Career.zycto is thrilled to partner with a leading educational institution in the heart of Hull to find an exceptional Music Teacher. This isn’t just a job; it’s an opportunity to shape young minds, ignite a lifelong passion for music, and contribute to a vibrant school community. We believe that music education is a cornerstone of holistic development, fostering discipline, creativity, and cultural understanding.

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Music Teacher to deliver outstanding music education across various age groups, from foundational primary stages to more advanced secondary levels. You will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and continually refining an engaging curriculum that spans practical performance, theoretical understanding, music history, and appreciation of diverse musical genres and cultures. From guiding students through their first instrumental notes and vocal exercises to preparing them for advanced examinations, captivating school concerts, and external competitions, your expertise will be at the forefront of their musical journey.

This role requires someone who can foster an inclusive and stimulating learning environment where every student feels empowered to explore their musical potential, regardless of their prior experience. You will be responsible for teaching individual and group lessons, utilizing a range of pedagogical approaches to cater to different learning styles. Beyond the regular curriculum, you will organize and direct a variety of extracurricular music clubs, choirs, orchestras, and ensembles, helping students develop teamwork and performance skills. Collaboration with colleagues across different departments to integrate music into broader school events and cross-curricular projects is also a key aspect.

Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in showcasing student talent through regular performances, assemblies, and community outreach programs, enriching the cultural fabric of the school and the wider Kingston upon Hull area. We are looking for a visionary educator who is adept at integrating technology into music teaching, exploring digital audio workstations, music notation software, and interactive learning platforms to enhance the student experience.

If you possess a genuine love for music, a commitment to innovative teaching methods, a proactive approach to student engagement, and a desire to make a tangible difference in students’ lives, we invite you to apply. Join a supportive faculty committed to excellence, continuous professional growth, and creating memorable educational experiences where your passion for music will not only educate but also deeply inspire, leaving a harmonious legacy within our school community and beyond.
