Job Description
We are seeking a warm, experienced, and dedicated Nanny to join a wonderful family located in the vibrant Kilimani area of Nairobi. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to become an integral part of a household, providing comprehensive care and educational support for their two children, aged 3 and 6 years old. As a Nanny with this family, your days will be filled with engaging activities, creative play, and consistent routines designed to encourage growth and learning. You will be responsible for overseeing the children’s daily schedule, including meal preparation, school pickups and drop-offs, assisting with homework, and organizing age-appropriate outings and indoor activities. Beyond the daily care, this role requires a candidate who is highly organized, reliable, and an excellent communicator. Key Responsibilities
- Provide full-time, attentive care for two children aged 3 and 6 years old.
- Plan and execute engaging, age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children, ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Assist with school drop-offs and pickups, and oversee homework completion.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for the children.
- Manage children's laundry and organize their clothes and belongings.
- Facilitate children's hygiene routines, including bathing and dressing.
- Communicate effectively and regularly with parents regarding the children's well-being and development.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and manage minor ailments.
- Adhere to household rules and routines established by the parents.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable Nanny or childcare experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to plan and execute engaging children's activities.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for children.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
