As a Nanny, you will be responsible for a wide array of duties focused on the well-being of the children, alongside light household tasks related to their care. Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, loving, and stimulating care for children of various age groups as required.
- Plan and implement engaging age-appropriate activities, including educational games, outdoor play, and creative arts.
- Prepare nutritious and balanced meals and snacks for the children, accommodating any dietary requirements.
- Assist with homework and school projects, fostering a positive attitude towards learning.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for the children, including tidying up play areas and children's rooms.
- Manage children's daily schedules, including school pick-ups/drop-offs, extracurricular activities, and appointments.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents regarding children's progress, activities, and any concerns.
- Administer basic first aid if necessary and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Handle light household duties related to the children, such as children's laundry and meal clean-up.
- Promote good hygiene practices and assist with bedtime routines.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable professional childcare experience.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain immediately).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine love for children.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Creativity and resourcefulness in planning engaging activities.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to drive with a valid Mauritian driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Clean background check and references.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Experience caring for infants and toddlers.
- Multilingual proficiency (e.g., Creole, Hindi, Mandarin) is a plus.
- Prior experience working in a private household setting.
- Proficiency in preparing a variety of healthy meals for children.
