Career.zycto is proud to partner with a wonderful, loving family residing in the serene Bassin area of Quatre Bornes, seeking an experienced, compassionate, and reliable Nanny to provide exceptional care for their two young children (ages 2 and 5). This is a full-time, live-out position designed for a dedicated professional eager to become an integral part of a household’s support system, focusing entirely on the well-being, development, and happiness of the children.
The ideal candidate will possess a genuine love for children, coupled with a proactive approach to fostering a stimulating and safe environment. We are looking for someone who can engage the children in age-appropriate educational activities, outdoor play, creative crafts, and imaginative games, encouraging their curiosity and growth. Your days will be filled with opportunities to shape young minds, from assisting with homework and school projects for the older child to facilitating sensory play and early learning for the toddler.
Beyond direct childcare, this role involves maintaining a tidy and organized environment for the children, including tidying play areas, organizing toys, and ensuring their belongings are clean and accessible. You will also be responsible for preparing nutritious meals and snacks tailored to the children’s preferences and any dietary requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and nurturing care for two children, ages 2 and 5.
- Plan and execute age-appropriate educational activities, games, and crafts.
- Supervise and engage children in indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Prepare healthy and balanced meals and snacks for the children, accommodating any dietary needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of children's play areas, bedrooms, and belongings.
- Assist with bath time routines and preparing children for bed.
- Manage children's schedules, including nap times, meal times, and activity transitions.
- Communicate daily with parents regarding children's activities, development, and any concerns.
- Assist with light homework for the older child.
- Perform light household tasks related to the children, such as children's laundry and tidying up after meals.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of professional nanny or childcare experience.
- Demonstrated ability to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both children and adults.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to plan and execute age-appropriate activities.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Fluent in English and/or French.

- Knowledge of child development stages and appropriate responses.
- Valid Mauritian driving license with a clean record.
- Ability to speak Mauritian Creole.
