We are seeking an exceptional and compassionate Live-In Nanny to provide comprehensive childcare for a private family residing in the beautiful community of Granville, Montego Bay. As a Live-In Nanny, you will be responsible for creating a stimulating, safe, and positive environment for the children, fostering their growth and well-being. This role extends beyond basic childcare to include light household duties related to the children’s needs, such as meal preparation, tidying play areas, and organizing their belongings. We are looking for someone who can engage children in educational and recreational activities, manage their schedules, assist with homework, and provide emotional support. Key Responsibilities
- Provide full-time, attentive, and loving care for the children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan and execute engaging and age-appropriate educational activities, games, and outings to stimulate intellectual and physical development.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children, adhering to any dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Assist with daily routines, including bathing, dressing, bedtime stories, and ensuring adequate rest.
- Manage children's schedules, including school pick-ups/drop-offs (if applicable, with provided transportation or allowance), appointments, and extracurricular activities.
- Help with homework and school projects, providing support and encouragement.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of children's play areas, bedrooms, and belongings.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and manage minor illnesses in consultation with parents.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents regarding children's progress, activities, and any concerns.
- Oversee children's personal hygiene and teach good habits.
- Be available for occasional evening and weekend care as agreed upon with the family.
- Run child-related errands as needed.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a nanny or childcare provider for private families (minimum 3 years).
- Excellent understanding of child development stages and age-appropriate activities.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain immediately).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A genuine love for children and a patient, nurturing demeanor.
- Ability to adapt to family routines and household dynamics.
- High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Clean criminal record check and excellent references.
