As a Network Engineer with Career.zycto, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our critical network systems. Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and other data communication systems.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize network efficiency and availability.
- Troubleshoot network issues, diagnose problems, and restore service promptly to minimize downtime.
- Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.
- Conduct regular network audits and capacity planning to ensure scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate new systems and applications into the existing network infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and junior staff on network-related matters.
- Stay current with emerging network technologies and recommend appropriate solutions to enhance our infrastructure.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other core networking protocols.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing routers, switches (Cisco, Juniper, Mikrotik).
- Experience with firewall administration (e.g., FortiGate, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA).
- Solid knowledge of VLANs, VPNs, OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent.
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of scripting for network automation (e.g., Python, Ansible).
- Experience with VoIP systems and unified communications.
