Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure network infrastructures for both internal systems and client projects.
- Configure and troubleshoot network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs (Cisco, Juniper, FortiGate preferred).
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize network efficiency and availability.
- Ensure network security best practices are implemented and maintained, including regular vulnerability assessments and policy enforcement.
- Manage and administer network services such as DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless connectivity.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides meticulously.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to support new projects, system integrations, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Provide technical support and expertise for network-related issues, participating in on-call rotations as needed.
- Stay abreast of emerging network technologies, industry trends, and security threats to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), switching technologies (VLANs, STP, EtherChannel).
- Proficiency with network hardware from leading vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet).
- Experience with network monitoring tools and protocols (SNMP, NetFlow).
- Solid grasp of network security principles, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certification.
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of scripting for network automation (Python, Ansible).
- Familiarity with VoIP and Quality of Service (QoS) configurations.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
