Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructures (LAN/WAN, VPN, Wireless).
  • Configure and troubleshoot network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, FortiGate).
  • Monitor network performance and availability, ensuring optimal uptime and service levels.
  • Perform regular network security audits and implement necessary security measures to protect against threats.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate new systems and applications into the existing network architecture.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
  • Respond to and resolve network incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for critical network support.
  • Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies and solutions to enhance efficiency and security.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior IT staff and other departments.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), and switching (VLANs, STP).
  • Hands-on experience with network security principles and technologies (VPN, IPS/IDS, Firewall management).
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco network equipment.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) or equivalent.
  • Experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Knowledge of scripting for network automation (Python, Ansible).
  • Familiarity with VoIP technologies and QoS implementation.
