Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance and system health using various tools and dashboards.
- Act as the first point of contact for all network-related incidents and service requests.
- Perform initial troubleshooting and diagnose network issues, escalating to senior engineers when necessary.
- Coordinate with internal engineering teams and external vendors for timely incident resolution and maintenance activities.
- Document all incidents, resolutions, and network changes accurately and thoroughly in the ticketing system.
- Participate in the change management process, ensuring scheduled network changes are executed smoothly and validated.
- Generate regular reports on network performance, incident trends, and service availability.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of NOC procedures and operational playbooks.
- Ensure compliance with all operational policies, security protocols, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Provide clear and concise communication to stakeholders regarding network status and incident progress.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or similar IT support role.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols).
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities within a flexible schedule.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Experience with ticketing systems and incident management processes (e.g., ITIL framework).
- Basic knowledge of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
