Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-level technical support for network-related issues, including LAN/WAN connectivity, Wi-Fi, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and availability, identifying and resolving incidents proactively using monitoring tools.
- Perform routine network maintenance, including configuration backups, firmware updates, and patch management.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of network hardware (routers, switches, access points) and software.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps accurately and comprehensively.
- Collaborate with senior network engineers and other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Ensure network security protocols are followed and assist in implementing security enhancements.
- Provide end-user support for network access, connectivity, and performance issues.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical network support outside of regular business hours as needed.
- Contribute to the evaluation and recommendation of new network technologies and solutions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in network support and administration.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
- Familiarity with network hardware from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, or Fortinet.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or JNCIA.
- Experience with firewall management and security best practices.
