Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the proactive monitoring of network performance and identify potential issues or bottlenecks.
  • Learn and apply basic network troubleshooting techniques for hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
  • Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment, including routers, switches, and access points.
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and incident reports accurately and promptly.
  • Respond to and resolve basic network-related inquiries and support requests from internal teams or customers.
  • Participate in scheduled network maintenance activities, system upgrades, and service provisioning tasks.
  • Collaborate effectively with senior technicians and engineers to learn best practices and operational workflows.
  • Contribute to maintaining high standards of network security and operational efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of computer networks (e.g., TCP/IP, LAN, WAN concepts).
  • Proficiency in using common operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Swahili.
  • Eagerness to learn, a proactive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
