Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring network performance and system health using designated tools.
- Provide first-level technical support for network-related issues, including connectivity, hardware, and software problems for end-users.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve basic network connectivity issues (LAN/WAN) and escalate complex problems to senior engineers.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware (routers, switches, access points) and software.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to maintain accurate records.
- Support users with network access, password resets, and basic account management within network systems.
- Collaborate with senior network engineers on various IT projects and problem resolution initiatives.
- Learn and adhere to IT security policies and best practices to ensure network integrity and data protection.
- Perform routine checks and preventative maintenance on network devices to ensure optimal performance.
- Participate actively in training sessions, workshops, and team meetings to enhance network knowledge and skills.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, basic Linux commands)
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective team and user interaction
- Eagerness to learn, absorb new information, and a proactive attitude towards tasks
- Ability to work both independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent educational background
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
Preferred Qualifications
