Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research on news topics, verify facts, and gather information from various sources.
- Interview individuals, including officials, experts, and members of the public, to obtain relevant quotes and perspectives.
- Write clear, concise, and engaging news scripts for broadcast on television and radio, and for digital platforms.
- Provide live on-site reports, conveying information accurately and professionally under pressure.
- Develop original story ideas, conduct investigative reporting, and follow up on leads.
- Edit and refine written and audio-visual content to meet broadcast standards and deadlines.
- Operate basic broadcast equipment (e.g., camera, audio recorder) during field assignments.
- Collaborate with producers, editors, and camera crew to ensure seamless production of news segments.
- Adhere strictly to journalistic ethics, legal requirements, and MBC's editorial guidelines.
- Maintain a strong understanding of current local, national, and international events.
Required Skills
