As a Night Auditor, you are the cornerstone of the hotel’s night operations, responsible for verifying the accuracy of all financial transactions, balancing daily accounts, and preparing reports that summarize the day’s business. You will be the primary point of contact for guests during the late-night and early morning hours, providing exceptional customer service, handling check-ins and check-outs, and addressing any guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism and efficiency.

You will monitor the front desk, manage phone calls, and respond to emergency situations as needed, always maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and staff. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily audits of guest accounts, room charges, and cash transactions to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Balance all front office accounts and complete required financial reports, including daily revenue reports and occupancy statistics.
  • Process guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and courteously during the night shift.
  • Handle all incoming calls, direct them appropriately, and take messages as required.
  • Address guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive guest experience.
  • Monitor security systems and conduct regular property walks to ensure the safety and security of guests and the hotel.
  • Prepare breakfast area setup and assist with other hotel departments as needed during quiet periods.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all hotel operations during the night, including handling emergencies and coordinating with on-call personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area and lobby throughout the shift.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a Night Auditor, Front Desk, or similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in hotel property management systems (PMS), e.g., Opera, Fosse, OnQ.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a calm and efficient manner.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Hospitality Management, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience with general accounting practices and night audit procedures.
  • Familiarity with local Twin Falls attractions and services to assist guests effectively.
