Join the dedicated team at Trident Hotel Port Antonio as a Part-Time Night Guard Assistant, playing a crucial role in maintaining the security and serene atmosphere of our luxurious property during overnight hours. As a Night Guard Assistant, you will work collaboratively with our lead security personnel to ensure the safety and well-being of our esteemed guests, staff, and valuable assets. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular, thorough patrols of the hotel grounds, diligently monitoring surveillance systems, and responding promptly and effectively to any security concerns or emergencies that may arise. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular, thorough patrols of hotel grounds, common areas, and perimeter during assigned night shifts.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems diligently, reporting any suspicious activities or breaches immediately.
- Assist the lead Night Guard in efficiently responding to security incidents, guest inquiries related to safety, and emergency protocols.
- Ensure all access points are securely maintained and proper protocols for guest and staff entry/exit are rigorously followed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all shift activities, incidents, observations, and resolutions.
- Provide a visible and reassuring security presence to deter unauthorized access and ensure guest tranquility.
- Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments (e.g., front desk, maintenance) to address security-related issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all hotel safety and security policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
- Administer basic first aid if necessary, and promptly call for professional medical assistance when required.
- Assist with guest requests and provide directions or information as needed, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to remain alert, observant, and focused during night shifts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Basic computer literacy for monitoring security systems and generating reports.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and quick, effective decision-making in critical situations.
