Key Responsibilities
- Manage guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately during the night shift.
- Address guest inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide information about hotel services and local attractions.
- Perform routine security checks of the premises to ensure guest safety and property security.
- Process end-of-day reports, reconcile accounts, and prepare for the morning shift.
- Handle phone calls and reservations, ensuring all details are accurately recorded.
- Assist with minor guest requests and emergencies, including first aid or coordinating with emergency services if necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby areas.
- Monitor hotel systems, including fire alarms and security cameras, reporting any issues immediately.
- Ensure all hotel policies and procedures are adhered to during the night operation.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within hospitality.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and hotel management software (e.g., Opera, FOSSE).
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in hospitality is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Night Auditor or Night Front Desk Agent.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of a second language is an asset.
