Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and accurately process incoming shipments, checking for discrepancies and damages.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch according to delivery schedules and deadlines.
- Organise and maintain warehouse inventory, ensuring efficient space utilisation and proper stock rotation.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and potentially forklifts (if certified) safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular stock counts and assist with comprehensive inventory management procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment, strictly adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with loading outgoing vehicles, ensuring correct documentation is completed and goods are securely loaded.
- Communicate effectively and proactively with team members and supervisors regarding operational updates, potential issues, or discrepancies.
- Undertake any other general warehouse duties as required to support the smooth running of night operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to work consistent night shifts (e.g., 10 PM – 6 AM or similar hours).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks, particularly inventory management and order processing.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for accurate record-keeping and order fulfilment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to team goals.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety in the workplace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (at least 6 months) in a warehouse, logistics, or similar operational role.
- Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) license (e.g., Counterbalance or Reach Truck).
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory software.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices.
