We are seeking a highly vigilant and dedicated individual to join our client’s team as a Part-Time Night Operations Security officer in the picturesque Barra Beach, Inhambane. This crucial role involves ensuring the safety and security of premises, assets, and personnel during nocturnal hours. As a Night Operations Security professional, you will be the eyes and ears of the establishment, tasked with maintaining a secure environment and responding promptly to any irregularities or emergencies.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular, thorough patrols of designated areas, both internal and external, checking for signs of forced entry, unauthorized persons, fire hazards, or other security risks.
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarms, responding immediately to any alerts or suspicious activities.
- Control access points for vehicles and pedestrians, verifying credentials and ensuring only authorized individuals enter the premises.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations in a detailed logbook.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, and security breaches, following established protocols.
- Provide assistance to staff and guests when necessary, exhibiting professionalism and excellent customer service.
- Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services as required during critical incidents.
- Complete incident reports accurately and concisely, detailing all relevant information.
- Ensure all security equipment is functioning correctly and report any malfunctions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a security role, preferably in a nocturnal environment.
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and ideally Portuguese.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure and during emergencies.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Physical fitness to perform duties including extensive walking, standing, and potentially lifting.
- Proficiency in using basic security equipment (e.g., two-way radios, CCTV monitoring systems).
- Valid first-aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in hospitality or resort security.
- Knowledge of local security regulations and protocols in Mozambique.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., unarmed guard training, conflict resolution).
- Fluency in additional local languages.
