Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, both internal and external, to detect and deter any suspicious activities.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras and alarm systems, promptly responding to any alerts or irregularities.
- Control access to the building, verifying identification, and ensuring only authorized personnel or visitors enter.
- Respond effectively and appropriately to emergencies, including fire alarms, medical incidents, or security breaches, following established protocols.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all security-related incidents, observations, and daily activities.
- Enforce company policies and procedures related to security and safety during your shift.
- Collaborate with day shift security staff to ensure a seamless handover of duties and information.
- Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or unusual occurrences observed during patrols.
- Assist in the evacuation of personnel during emergencies, ensuring their safety and adherence to evacuation plans.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Security Officer or Night Guard, preferably in a corporate or commercial setting.
- Excellent observational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to operate CCTV and alarm monitoring systems effectively.
- Strong understanding of security procedures and protocols.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
- Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure or during emergencies.
- Physical fitness to conduct regular patrols and stand for extended periods.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
