Key Responsibilities
- Assist registered nurses and other medical staff with direct patient care activities, including feeding, bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance.
- Monitor and accurately record patients' vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and report any significant changes to the nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment, including changing bed linens and ensuring patient rooms are tidy.
- Help patients with personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting needs, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.
- Assist with patient transportation within the medical centre for tests, procedures, or discharge.
- Accurately document patient observations, activities of daily living, and any concerns or incidents, communicating promptly with the nursing team.
- Support patient feeding and hydration, ensuring dietary guidelines are followed and reporting any intake issues.
- Assist in the preparation of treatment rooms, sterilization of instruments, and stocking of supplies.
- Adhere strictly to all medical centre policies, procedures, infection control protocols, and safety standards.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, contributing to a positive healing environment.
Required Skills

- At least 1 year of proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a private hospital or clinical setting.
- Valid certification or license to practice as a Nurse Assistant in Kenya, if applicable.
- Knowledge of local health regulations and best practices in patient care.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
