Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the medical team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, accurately and safely.
- Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and other indicators of patient health status.
- Provide clear and concise patient education regarding their condition, treatment, and self-care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with data protection policies.
- Assist physicians with medical procedures and examinations.
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies, providing immediate and appropriate care.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Required Skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Mauritius
- Proven experience in a hospital or clinic setting
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Proficiency in basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) if applicable
- High level of empathy and patient-centered care approach
- Fluency in English and French (Creole proficiency is a plus)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Specialization certifications (e.g., Critical Care, Pediatrics, Emergency Nursing)
