Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the medical team.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, accurately and safely.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and other indicators of patient health status.
  • Provide clear and concise patient education regarding their condition, treatment, and self-care.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with data protection policies.
  • Assist physicians with medical procedures and examinations.
  • Respond effectively to medical emergencies, providing immediate and appropriate care.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Required Skills

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Mauritius
  • Proven experience in a hospital or clinic setting
  • Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) if applicable
  • High level of empathy and patient-centered care approach
  • Fluency in English and French (Creole proficiency is a plus)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Specialization certifications (e.g., Critical Care, Pediatrics, Emergency Nursing)
